General Accounting

The General Accounting Section of the Controller's Office supports the Banner Finance help line and provides training for new employees in the areas of Banner Finance navigation, general accounting query, and finance reporting.  The section also performs audits of departmental journal entry transfers and is responsible for Banner Finance daily batch updating, month-end close, and year-end close.  The General Accounting Section of the Controller's Office is responsible for reconciling the University's bank accounts, reconciling the Banner Finance system to the State's Accounting System, and various other reconciliations.
